Leinenkugel's has been brewing in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin since 1867. They are now owned by Miller. This is Leinie's take on the German-style Marzen beer.
The beer pours copper colored with a short head of white to off-white foam. The aroma is somewhat sweet, with lots of malt, a bit of caramel and some fruitiness. The taste is slightly sweet with a firm malt background, toasted and caramel, but with an astringent, moderately bitter hop finish. Fairly decent, but not great as Oktoberfests go; overall rating: "Meh."
